Tech Tip - CA Privileged Access Manager: Access to NetApp devices

Customer was having trouble acessing NetApp ONTAP devices via the SSH applet in CA PAM 2.8.2. The session never completes the login process.

 

Our troubleshooting pointed out a bug in the product that affects only NetApp ONTAP devices - to fix it, Engineering provided a new file - mindterm__V2.8.2.0.0.jar - that should be uploaded to the appliance via SSH and manually replaced.

 

If customers find themselves in this condition under  release 2.8.2, please do one of the following:

 

Plan A - Upgrade your appliance to the latest release. Besides all the benefits of the newer version, you will have this fix implemented.

 

Plan B - In case the upgrade is not feasible at the time, please open a ticket in CA Support to request this new file to be deployed to your appliance. Please note that the SSH access to the CA PAM appliance is only possible for CA Support staff.
