Tech Tips: Creating and Configuring Multiple VSEs on the Same Linux Machine for DevTest 10.6.0

Feb 21, 2018 10:50 AM

From the Linux {{LISA_HOME}}/bin folder:

Copy VirtualServiceEnvironmentService to VirtualServiceEnvironment2.

Copy VirtualServiceEnvironmentService to VirtualServiceEnvironment3.

Copy VirtualServiceEnvironmentService.vmoptions to VirtualServiceEnvironmentService2.vmoptions.

Copy VirtualServiceEnvironmentService.vmoptions to VirtualServiceEnvironmentService3.vmoptions.

Edit the vmoptions for each vmoptions file.  VSE1 using default port of 2013, has a unique VSE name and log file.

VSE2 using port of 20132 (make sure port being used is open), has a unique VSE name and log file.

VSE3 using port of 20133 (make sure port being used is open), has a unique VSE name and log file.

Display VSEs on the Portal:

On Workstation, have a choice of the 3 VSEs to deploy to that are connected to this one Registry:

Note:  If putting VSEs on different machines and going to the same Registry, use the same type of method as above for the VSE Name.  Even though on different machines, if going to the same Registry, the names need to be unique. You would not have to specify different ports or log files if only one VSE on a machine.
