Tech Tip : CA Single Sign-On : When trying to configure OneView Monitor seeing the message "ServletExec6.0 not found" after installing ServletExec

Jun 25, 2018 11:39 AM

Question:

We have installed ServletExec previously, and we are trying to install OneView Monitor, but when we are following the configuration wizard and it prompts for the ServletExec path, we are getting the error "ServletExec6.0 not found":

ServletExec 6.0 was not found in /opt/CA/NewAtlanta/ServletExecAS.  Please try again.

I have verified the user has privileges to the path, ServletExec is up and running, and the environment variables script is being sourced before running the wizard, but the error persists.

It can be a problem on the ServletExec installation? How can we solve it?

Environment:

Policy Server R12.52 SP1 on RHELServletExec AS 6.0

Answer:

This issue can be caused due to entropy settings on the OS, as the configuration wizard should detect the ServletExec installation, and a lack of entropy could prevent the wizard to work properly. Ensure there is enough entropy in the system as documented:

Also note that, although ServletExec comes bundled with Single Sign-On, this is a third party product and you need to follow their guide and procedure for installation:
