CA Spectrum Tech Tip: When your OnlineBackup is not working correctly.

When your Online Backup is not responding.

 

Here are somethings you can check when your Online Backup is not working correctly.

 

  • Delete the temp directory for the backup from $SPECROOT/SS-DB-Backup
  • Go to the OnLineBackup model in OneClick
  • Go to the Attributes tab
  • Change the following attributes:
    • BackupNow to "No"
    • BackupStatus to "Ready"
    • PauseVNM to Yes
  • Check the space in the folder that is contains the backup.  Online Backup will create an event on the OnlineBackup model if there is no room to save the SSDB file.

 

 

If these steps don't help, open a support ticket and an engineer will take a look.
