Tech Tip : CA Single Sign-On : Saba Cloud SP initiated Transaction Failing on iOS

Issue



We have a SAML Federation setup as described below.

 

CA SSO - acting as IDP
SABA cloud - acting as SP

 

SABA cloud SP initiated transaction is working fine for Android, but the same is failing iOS.

 

Mobile app : authentication flow same as form based.
Android - working
iOS - not working

 

After entering user-name/password, request coming to Access gateway, but it seems nothing is happening between Access gateway and policy server.

 

How can we resolve this issue?

 


Environment

 

 

SSO version: 12.7 SP2
OS: Linux Redhat 6 64 bits
Access Gateway 12.7 SP2
OS: Linux Redhat 6 64 bits

 


Cause

 

The issue has been identified as an issue with the iOS app. The http to https redirection was not being handled correctly by the app.

 


Resolution


The implemented solution was to switch to BASIC authentication scheme which uses the default browser.
