As per RI26275, Service Desk Manager CANNOT RESOLVE MULTIPLE INDIRECT REFERENCES.
It is supported only for single dotted attributes.
For instance, if an attempt is made to sort for attributes on a simple SEARCH on Service Desk Manager that contain more than one dot the following error is seen in the Service Desk standard log file:
"Cannot resolve multiple indirect references in customer.dept.name"
We have been informed by CA support that there are no plans for support of this funtionality for multiple references but it would be very helpful in our case where part of the information displayed on the searches are based on multiple references.
