Then searching for tickets, the customer/analyst can sort by one column.
It sould be possible to sort by multiple columns. E.G. sort by priority at first and then per priority by status.

This is possible by creating DOMSET list in the object definition and using the same in the list. I dont know of a simpler way in GUI to achieve this.
Hi, yes you can define a fixed domset. But the user should set the sorting for any column.
Thats true Daniel. We will otherwise need to deal with all the combinations in the domset. I am voting this ON

This should be not that hard to do since the jqGrid is being used in the listviews. And jqGrid can do multiple sorts in lists. jqGrid Loading Data - Sort By Multiple Columns
