In UARM, The Oracle integration should Support Linux_64bits platform. Currently this is a limitation that forces customers to use 32bits platform. I am encouraging this idea to cover this type of platform .
Per the announcement posted on support.ca.com on February 14, 2014, CA Technologies have decided to stabilize and End of Life CA UAR in accordance with our CA Support Policy and Terms (https://support.ca.com). The function of stabilization of CA UAR means that there will be no new releases or further enhancements to this product. Stabilization is generally the phase preceding End of Life, please consider this as written notification that technical support for CA UAR will be discontinued beginning December 31, 2017. For the full announcement please visit: http://www.ca.com/us/support/ca-support-online/product-content/status/support-life-cycle/ca-uar-stabilization-and-end-of-life-announcement.aspx. This idea is considered a product enhancement and cannot be accepted.
I just have a question
I read in the community (https://communities.ca.com/message/241733560#241733560) by dulmi01 there is an strategy to replace the component UARM with PIM (by December 31, 2016 - one year prior to end of life for UARM).
Knowing that UARM now is also a component that accompanies Privileged Identity Management (PIM) ¿Does the stabilization and "end of life" of UARM will continue its way even offering this component with PIM or will be the same component but with another name?
I think I'd better stop using it to prevent improvements ask if we will not be using it
Thanks Adrea for the information of EOL and now I know the enhancement could not be done.
HI Efren, A replacement for CA UAR will be provided in a future release of PIM by 12/31/16. Mike Dullea is the product manager for PIM and could provide more insight on the UAR replacement. I did forward him your note above for him to respond. Thank you! Andrea
