When selecting a Contact Detail record in Service Desk Manager and navigating to the Logs tab, the Event Log nested tab is available for review and lists various activities depending on your configuration. One of the field headings is "Access Type". Unfortunately, the value listed is pulled directly from the Access Type field on the main contact form, which ends up being a duplication of information. A better design would be for the value listed in the Event Log to reflect the Access Type value at the time of the of the event. This would provide an accurate description of the actual event. For example, if a contact has the "Employee" Access Type and logs into SDM on January 1st the log will appear like this:
|01/01/2015 08:00am||Smith, John L||Employee||User logs in|
If that contact has his Access Type changed after this login to "Default Analyst" and logs into SDM on January 2nd the log will appear like this:
|01/02/2015 08:00am||Smith, John L||Default Analyst||User logs in|
|01/01/2015 08:00am||Smith, John L||Default Analyst||User logs in|
Notice the event of the login on January 1st now shows the contact logged in as a Default Analyst when, in fact, they logged in as an Employee.
