ITSM 14.1 is a fantastic step forward, bringing important disciplines under one umbrella.
Some of its components already have a good archive and purge-concept, but since ITSM 14.1 brings everything under one hood, a product-spanning archive and purge concept is needed and requested by our customers.
Now Catalog requests and ServiceDesk tickets are connected, Services are included and Assets are connected. It is key to consider the context when archiving. So archiving would touch not only e.g. Catalog Requests, but connected ServiceDesk-Tickets, requested Services and the Assets connected to those Requests.
Same applies to restore of data, because only the full context makes sense.
So here the idea:
Create a product-spanning archive and purge concept and functionality for ITSM 14.1.
