This idea is currently being reviewed. Do you have any specific languages required?
One client wants Spanish to English, and I've heard rumors a while ago of another wishing for Japanese to English.
I will canvas opinion.
However, our Belfast office covers the whole of EMEA, hence the requirement for several different languages translation back to English.
changing the status back to "New" for tracking purposes as we weren't able to review this request today. The review should be completed June 18th.
With the increasing regulatory and supervision requirements for financial services, our clients are faced with initiatives globally that requires prompt and agile response to violations or suspicious behavior/activity no matter the country origin or language used. By having a language translation feature as par of the DataMinder product, it can improve supervision in multiple languages and make multilingual compliance issues as painless as possible.
I totally agree, and have looked into it. If an appropriate API is available, integration is relatively easy. The problem is that natural language translation is not easy to host on-site. I looked into a few different open source options and they all would require a dedicated person(s) to train the algorithms to be accurate.
Closed source, on premise? Well that was outside my budget, by far.
This has been reviewed and we can certainly see the value of this request. It is something we will look to address in a future release. At this point, I will change the status to "wish-listed" as the first stage of moving this into development.
If others in this community see the need for this enhancement, please continue to vote it up!
