Now in CA Service Desk there is no separate object to manage releases. What we suggest to our customers, is to create special change categories to manage releases. Existing customers are not quite happy but they can live with that. It is different situation with potential clients, because it is hard to convince them that CA SDM supports release management, but releases are managed by the means of change object.
Therefore, the idea is to create the new object called release that will mimic change order functionality.
