We need Oracle 12c support for CA BSI! January 2016 the first year of extended support for Oracle 11gR2 ends and most customers won't extend the extended support for the older Oracle version.
This idea is under review by the product team, and will be update based on the review outcome.
Any new information to this idea?
We are currently in the process of certifying Oracle 12c for BSI. There will be 2 certification activities. The first is to certify Oracle 12c in a multi-tier configuration (Oracle operating on a different machine from the BSI application), which is expected to complete fairly soon. Afterwards, we will Certify Oracle 12c on a single-tier configuration. The single-tier configuration is expected to require some significant adjustments to the code/configuration to deal with some known issues when BSI and Oracle 12c are installed on the same box.
At ORANGE/OBS, we do both ORACLE 12c at the SERVER side AND at the CLIENT side.

At this time (8.3.5), we have certified Oracle 12c in a multi-tier configuration.
We are now planning to certify Oracle 12c on a single-tier configuration.

according to Supportability Matrix - CA Business Service Insight - 8.3.5 - CA Technologies Documentation Oracle 12c is supported on Windows Server 2012 64-bit. Will it be supported also on Linux?
Hi Pino -
Yes, we support Oracle 12c on LInux where BSI is deployed in a multi-tier environment where Oracle runs on a separate node. We are planning to update the documentation to help clear this up.
