why do not you support smtp and force everyone to use pop3/Imap? technology is changed long time ago but we still have to use pop3 FOR ONLY YOUR APP.

We currently use both SMTP and POP/IMAP protocols with the Service Desk Manager solution. The SMTP protocol is used for all outbound mail communications. For inbound email (to generate tickets in SDM), you have the choice between POP3 or IMAP4 (with the option of TLS for security).
Given that the SMTP protocol only supports the sending of email (not receiving), would you please provide more details about the business case behind your request?

If there is a requirement that we are not meeting with the current IMAP TLS approach, please provide additional detail and we will consider re-opening this Idea.
