Need vmware Probe to capture temperature of esx servers .As of now we need to enable two level of monitoring (Probe+SNMP)which makes the admin effort drastic.
Whether it is currently planned?
This will be a really good option. We have had our own problems like this in the past.
have you considered to use the ecometer_monitor probe to monitor environmental data?
it can be a good option in the meantime given that VMware probe cannot do it yet.
It is a separate tools or a probe ..again licence part will be there.
Yeah ecometer would be too much of a investment just to monitor temperature
Good to have it added as a metric in vmware probe
The cisco_ucs probe monitors ESX server temps.
So esx hypervisor are HP machines ,whether cisco_ucs probe is capable of querying vmware vcenter to get those details?
