We see a new behavior in 14.1 while creating a ticket. After opening a ticket if any of the users in the initial group are missing an email address, the system logs a comment in web client (under Log --> Activities) under the person who reported the ticket identifying that there are no email address for the specified contacts. But this information is not at all required in the log activities.
There are two types of log appearing with the following root causes :
1. AHD05377:No Email address specified for the contact xxxxx [ If a contact record have no email address listed in contact profile but notification method is defined(email or something)]
2. AHD05376:No Notification method specified for the contact xxxxx [If a contact record have email address listed in contact profile but notification method is defined empty]
In contrary :
3. If Email address is not specified and notification method is also empty no activities log appears on Web UI.
4. If Email address is specified and notification method is also set, no acclivities log appears on Web UI.
If we install the following variables under in NX.env file it stops logging for AHD05376 in Web UI and on Not_Log table and in stdlogs. But it keep on updating Web UI for AHD05377 (under Log --> Activities).
NX_SKIP_NO_NOTIFICATION_LOG (set as 1)
NX_SKIP_NO_EMAIL_NOTIFICATION_LOG (set as 1)
We need a feature to mute this logging in Web UI (under Log --> Activities) as well, because it serves a minimum value and causes unnecessary traffic for important log comments to see on the incidents. It's eventually flooding activities log with unnecessary information.
