Customers have been requesting the ability to write out new records, update attributes, etc against a directory server. Please look at add this functionality.
Very helpfull. Here We developed a service in a Service BUS to resolve this.
The capability for the Gateway to write to LDAP's is currently planned for a future version of the Gateway.
This feature is now available in the 9.3 release of the API Gateway, via an LDAP write assertion.
Where can I download this LDAP Write assertion add-on?
Do you have any sample logic code to write into ldap attribute. Currently i have been using this new assertion and i get incorrect responses from gateway.
Have you reviewed the updated documentation on this feature located here: Write LDAP Assertion - CA API Gateway - 9.4 - CA Technologies Documentation ?
Yes Stephen, i have gone through with the documents. I got following error while modifying into Ldap.
Error:- ldapWrite.error.msg = "com.l7tech.external.assertions.ldapwrite.server.ServerLdapWriteAssertion$LdapException: Invalid LDIF syntax"
The error is stating that something in the Add assertion does not align to how the LDIF in the Directory server is expecting it. What Directory Server are you using? Also are you able to attach a screen capture of the Assertion?
We use ODSEE 11g (LDAP) and attached assertion used for write ldap.
We are adding “last timestamp” of a user into LDAP.
I've ported over this conversation into a Question post (Any sample logic code to write into ldap attribute ) as the Idea section is not designed for this type of interaction. Please can you upload the assertion against as it did not post through.
