The Policy Manager allows one to manage trusted certificates (Tasks -> Certificates, keys and secrets -> Manage Certificates).
We use these certificates in the Route via HTTP assertion:
A problem occurs when this certificate expires. In that case the only non-automated way to update the certificate is to remove the existing certificate and import the new one and give it the name of the certificate that expired. Because this causes the UUID associated with the original name (e.g. extern_abz) to be different, the certificate name in next screen will become red and the only solution is to select the certificate name here, press the remove button and add the newly added certificate.
From the maintenance department’s perspective this is cumbersome and time consuming.
Is it possible to include an update certificate button in the ‘Manage Certificates’ dialog box? This would replace the content of existing certificate but preserve the original uuid and name associated with the actual certificate.
A similar option is already provided in the Mange Private Keys dialog box where one is able to replace the certificate chain.
Above can be achieved using Restman api. However we would like to be able to do this with the Policy Manager.
