We need to add NCM device support for Cisco 1921, 2911 and 2921 devices with the following OIDs: 188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.1191, 220.127.116.11.18.104.22.168.1045, and 22.214.171.124.126.96.36.199.1044
Hi Noc - Did you try to self-certify and use the NCM Toolkit to create a script to capture the configurations from these devices?
Likewise, you may be able to change the modeltype if all other requirements are met:
I do not understand how it works but I use the NCM script OpenSSH Capture_Running_Script by default but I have the following error
It almost appears that you do not have the required modules installed perhaps?
Have you confirmed that those modules are properly installed into the PERL that is being used?
Perhaps you can try to edit the script line for make_path and remove_tree
Please check this link for reference: https://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=815721
You can also check NCM config.xml file and change SSH library-type to "jsch". Please see this doc for more detail on this: Network Configuration Manager backup fails with er - CA Knowledge
I already made the change and now I see the following error.
Previously we were in version 10.2.0 and some devices captured the configuration then a CA engineer asked us to update to 10.2.3 and after the upgrade any devices takes the configuration. It says incorrect credentials but the ones you have configured are fine.
Can you run the script from the command line with the following parameters? Are you able to capture the configuration with the script when run from the command line? If you can capture the configuration from a bash shell that would indicate that the script is fine and perhaps spectrum is not passing everything to the script when trying to capture it from spectrum.
$SPECROOT/bin/perl <script_file> <device_ip> <device_username> <device_password> <device_enable_password> <telnet_login_timeout> [<telnet_cmd_timeout>]
Now it works, they have idea of how to make the capture of the configuration through the script is done automatically.
I do not know whether it is correct that the NCM Mode, User, Device user, Source and Location fields are in unknown
