  • 1.  Including inactive investments in a portfolio

    Posted Jun 19, 2014 04:56 AM

Hi, we are using Clarity PPM V13.1.0.0248 04 0030.

    I can not include inactive projects in a portfolio. The power filter is: ( project.obj_pfl_category2 ==  lookup("OBJ_INVESTMENT_PFL_CATEGORY2", "LOCAL")  && (  project.is_active == 1 ||  project.is_active == 0))

    Why is that?

    Regards,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

Please check Portfolio Scorecard - only inlcudes 'Active' projects discussion where they talk about an enhancement request CLRT-43933 which is for including inactive investments also in a portfolio. I tried searching everywhere for more details on CLRT-43933 but got nothing. No idea about the current status of this enhancement request

    Thanks,

    Georgy

    Hi Georgy,

thanks for the hint. I have read that discussion, and I also traced the portlet SQL which should contain the inactive investments.

Unfortunately I have not found any setting that help.

    Regards,

    Peter

Yes, in the old version of Portfolio Management (pma) functionality, inactive investments were not included and the functionality had a hidden filter built into the functionality.

Remember that the functionality was removed and a completely new Portfolio Management (pfm) functionality is introduced in Clarity 13.2 and beyond.

This new functionality now uses studio objects and the 'active' attribute can be configured in the portlets and also used in power filters.

For more details on the new functionality, reference the 13.2 Change Impact and Upgrade Guide.

There are also some good videos introducing this new feature in the BrightTalk Clarity Channel.

Here is a webcast that shows What's New in Clarity 13.2
