  • 1.  Notification on New Patch Releases

    Hi Friends,

     

    How can I get an automated notification when a new Clarity patch gets released?

     

    I was working with Suman on a support case - Cannot import WSDL link on the upgraded v13.3 environment and was surprised to know from him that CA has released another patch - Patch 6 for v13.3 - this monday, 14th July.

     

    Can we have a notification in place so that we wont miss such important updates, which might be solving many of our issues as seen from their README files?

    Thanks a lot. Are you sure about this? Because when I clicked on the Tech Insider - CA Technologies  link on the page you gave above, to see the previous editions of the Tech Insider, I could not see any edition stating the release of this latest Patch 6 in the following pages linked from those pages :

    The best way is to keep your eyes open and to know what to expect and when and not to expect to be notified.

    This community and Twitter are the places where people post notifications about the availability of new patches and versions. See how it goes now in the new community. In the old one there was a message board for that and you could subscribe for updates.

     

    Another way is to check the downloads on a regular basis.

    Hi Urmas,

     

    Thanks a lot for the info. So I suppose, as no automated notifications are available, the only way is to keep checking CA Clarity PPM - Support Product Page - CA Technologies NEWS section at the top right, on a regular basis or atleast once a week.

     

    Even the News update was only done in the above link on 17th July. So l would still love to get an automated notification whenever a patch is released, atleast within the next couple of days. I have put this in an idea as I think that this is not happening at present. Automated Notifications for Product Patch Releases

    I had already activated Proactive Notification on whatever is related to Clarity here.

    I see now that Patch 7 was released on 11th Auguest and I never got any notification yet in my mailbox

    The same for me. Ticked everything and no notification.

     

    Whether or not you got the notification would be a good topic for a poll.

    Hi Georgy,

    We are working to ensure that the pro-active notification process is fully enabled moving forward.  The recent patch announcements did not get included in this notification which is something we are working on correcting quickly.
