    Hello,

I am trying to install CABI 3.1 SP5 latest software with Clarity 13.3 on read hat linux 6.5. Its been install on server with some errors listed below. Mainly it looks as its not able to register some libraries. Appears as missing some required linux patch, however I verified the patches required for this version of cabi are installed on server. Please advice if any one have seen such scenario. The BO services are getting started however am unable to access them through browser.

    Hi

We had similar issues when we are trying to Install CABI 3.3 on RHEL 6.4 and CA support has mentioned that RHEL 6.0 is the best supported version and even after downgrading to 6.0 there were certain patches which need to be installed and below are what we have installed

    libXext-devel-1.3.1-2.el6.x86_64

    libXext-1.3.1-2.el6.x86_64

    libXext-1.3.1-2.el6.i686

    libXext-devel-1.3.1-2.el6.i686

    libXext-devel-1.1-3.el6.x86_64

    libXext-1.1-3.el6.x86_64

    Hope it helps.

    Regards,

    Omkar.

    Thanks Omkar for your input.

Does that mean CA confirm CABI 3.3 is not supported on RHEL 6.1 or higher ?

I tried installing CABI after installing above mentioned patches, it is installed however not accessible though browser. boe trace logs still gives assert failures as below:

    ObjectSubsystem.cpp:5175: TraceLog message 1

We have BO running on Linux 6.5.  Here are the packages that we have installed.  Some might not be needed as there was a lot of trial and error to get it installed.

    From the CABI Documentation:

Minimum Patch Level for Red Hat 6

Required minimum operating system install plus:

     compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.i686 (compatibility standard C++ library from GCC 3.3.4)

     glibc-2.12-1 (RedHat advisory RHBA-2007:0619-3)

     libXext-devel-1.1-3.el6.i686

 libncurses.so.5 - can be found in the ncurses-libs package

Higher patches beyond the specified minimum patch requirement can be used, but they may not be officially tested against SAP BusinessObjects products.

Anyone else managed to install the report server on RHEL 6.x and actually have it working at SP6?
