    Hi,

    There is 1 specific environment where all project (task) in OWB -> Gantt bars are shown in GREY no matter what the task status is.

    According to OWB color settings, grey indicates "task lock for scheduling? -> yes".

    I've used same OWB to open projects from other environments.. and I don't have that issue.

    Not sure why OWB thinks tasks are locked. I made sure:

    ++ sercurity.logs is empty

    ++ tables empty: PRJ_tentative_projects and PRJ_tentative_tasks

    ++ Task is not Lock in Clarity UI before launching it..

    Not sure what else needs to be checked. Any idea?

    Save a project as an xml file and see what is the task status there.

    What are the values of prtask.prislocked in that system?

    I believe this refers to the "remove from autoschedule" flag, not sure what the exact name is right now... It's a fla you set at task level so autoschedule will ignore that task.

    Real issue was.. task are 100% competed -> then it's grey too ... we just got confused with coloring definitions in OWB.

    We changed a task to 0% completed and it was purple... so no issues, it's working as designed.

    One of the coloring definitions does say -

    Task Gantt percentage complete          GREY

    Double thread, see

    OWB - Gantt bars always "grey" color

    Well, there is grey and then there is gray

    It could say Percent Complete 100 or Status Completed.

    Rambling on...

    What might Task Gantt Actuals Thru Date mean precisely and

    What might Task Gantt Percent Expended mean 0, 100 or something in between.

    Just a guess

    These would be how the below would be represented on the gantt bar

    Actuals Thru Date - This date represents the timeperiod FINISH date of the last period posted for that assignment. No remaining work (ETC) can exist before this date, it s the line between what has been done (actuals) and what s left to do (ETC).

    % Expended – A calculated value based on the total estimate of the task and the number of actual hours that have been recorded.

    Yes, that is what they mean, but when would the gantt bar be gray?

    Did you know you can review the Gantt 'Color' rules by looking at the 'Colors and Shapes" in OWB?

    Technically correct.

    Just tell me how to get the rules for those three gray bars.

    Suggest we do a web session so I can show you how to identify what attributes contribute to a rule.

    It is just those there specific highlights where the rule is not displayed in the list of highlights.
