Good morning, everyone.
It's what we've all been waiting for! The CA World '14 Session Catalog is now available.
Peruse to your heart's content. https://conference.caworld.com/CAW14/SessionCatalog
VERY disappointed about the lack of technical sessions. Guess I won;t be attending this year.
I guess CA wants to sell products more than they want customers to know how to use them.
Hi rkirkman, our catalog is still in progress and we’ll be adding additional sessions as topics are finalized. We’ll post updates weekly (if not more often), so please do check back from time to time. We just wanted to get the first pass out there because many have been asking for it.
In total, we plan to offer more than 200 sessions. Our goal is to strike a balance that features our technical solutions, but also addresses the business trends that are reshaping and changing the game in the IT landscape. It’s a lot of ground to cover, given the breadth and diversity of the CA portfolio and the importance and complexity of these business trends.
Our filter feature in the catalog can help you narrow your search. Have you tried that yet? Another option: If you want to let us know a few topics you’re interested in, we can recommend a list of available sessions that may be a fit.
We need to see something quickly that makes us want to go so that we can take advantage of the Early Bird Discount
I am in Security. Identity Manager / Minder.
Hi Glenda. I'm going to check with the Security team and pull out some Security-specific sessions for you. Please send me your private email address, as I did not see it on your Profile. I'm at email@example.com. Thanks!
Still very little in technical MF automation big four....OPS/MVS, Sysview, Netmaster and CA WA ESP Edition.

Any plans to add to?
Good morning. The product folks you tagged might have more information for you, but in the meantime we published CA World '14 Mainframe Program Guide yesterday, which has all of the mainframe-related content at CA World '14 summarized in one place for you.
Is the content finalized? I just used the link posted by Lenn. If so, does this mean it ends Wednesday before noon? Just trying to solidify travel plans.
Hi vtleogal2. Content is still being added to the Catalog. Check back from time to time, as we add additional sessions. However, you are correct. CA World '14 wraps up at noon on Wednesday, with the close of the Exhibition Center. Thanks.
When should the content be finalized? And is it still planned to have the agenda builder available this week?
Either way, as Glenda mentioned, it hardly leaves any time to make an informed decision before the early bird discount expires. Especially if you also need at least a week for a visa rquest before you can commit to anything.
Hi Michiel, although the bulk of session content was added last week, we're still expecting additional sessions to be added on a rolling basis. The goal is to have all content available by the end of September. The Agenda Builder will be up on the site by the end of this week. Additionally, Early Bird registration has been extended until Friday, September 19. I'm going to post a separate thread on that to make sure it's seen. Thanks. ~Ann
Thanks for the info Ann. I was looking for Spectrum content and was expecting to see a roadmap session for IM somewhere. But it doesn't show up when I filter on Spectrum. I also don't see any Spectrum content on Wednesday. I'm wondering if maybe it was mislabled or not all IM content was added yet. Do you know if the IM content is complete and if there still will be the usual roadmap session, or should I ask someone within the IM team?
MichielHelder: I also just did a quick filter search for Spectrum and didn't see anything yet. Let me check with the Spectrum team, and I'll circle back with you today. PS: Just figured out how to use the @Mention tag on here. Now I'm cooking with gas!
Hi MichielHelder and Ann_Kelly - We are in-fact still uploading content to the system. spectrum 9.4 will certainly be featured in several sessions - including a roadmap session that will be posted soon with more information. I'm not sure what day it will be, but as soon as we have confirmed them, I'll post a reply to this thread. I'll also post a suggested Spectrum track for CA World in the CA Infrastructure Management community as soon as all tracks are posted! The IM keynote session by John Smith is also one you won't want to miss. Hope that helps
Thanks for the additional feedback, Rachel_Macik
Thanks Rachel, good to know
As promised - Here's the ca spectrum update for caworld2014
CA World for Spectrum Users - A Program Guide via PDF will also be published soon for the entire Opscenter... stay tuned!
Thanks Rachel Macik , looks good!
Is the bulk of the content posted for the session catalog? We use 5 different products and have interest in 3 others, but only 1 of those 8 products/areas has any significant amount of content being offered. We were going to send 4 employees, but if there aren't going to be A LOT of sessions added, I would say that this conference is definitely not worth attending for us.
jennifer1 -- Additional sessions will be added in the coming weeks as content is finalized. What products does your team currently use, and which new solutions are you interested in? I can take that list to our team and help get some recommendations for you. Even if content is not yet finalized, the product team(s) may be able to share a couple bullet points on potential or in-development topics. Thanks!
Primarily: Process Automation, SiteMinder (Single Sign on), Service Desk Manager, CMDB.Secondary: Unified self-service, configuration automation, service catalog
I am coordinating the sessions for the CA Service Management solutions. I just reviewed the Catalog and I see there are only a few Pre-conference Education Session posted so far. You will see many sessions added shortly (approx. 15 more) covering Service Desk Manager, Service Catalog, Unified Self Service, and IT Asset Manager. There will be several sessions/panels/case studies each day, as well as hands-on labs and more Pre-conference education sessions. All are confirmed and ready for posting to the CA World Catalog so they should be there very soon. Sorry for the confusion.
Hi Allen_Houpt: Thanks for the extra input on what to expect for CA Service Management sessions. Hope this helps, jennifer1.
When can we start building our agenda, in addition for those who are flying in on Sunday it is hard to make the morning sessions, I hope there are some repeats Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Some of us may not be able to come in Saturday night.
You should be able to build your agenda at this time assuming you are registered. As for repeats of Sunday sessions, some tracks do have repeats, but not sure if others could be repeated if not already in Session Catalog. What specific session are you interested in?
I will try to see if I can build it, I don't see the option and I am logged in. I will try again. I am flying in Sunday and will not arrive until 12:52PM Sunday, I am going to miss this session , Pre-Con Education: CA Clarity PPM v14.1: MS Project Integration: Tips, Tricks and What's New for You.
The next session I will make even though I will be 30 minutes depending on the flight. I would like to attend this one at 1:30 Pre-Con Education: CA Clarity PPM v14.1: Get Straight A's in Managing Resources Effectively
Okay. I've passed your concern and request for repeat sessions over to the track lead for PPM. Pointed them to this thread. I know session slots are limited so not sure much can be done to repeat...
Thank you Allen, I hopefully they will repeat it, if not then I have to wait for the presentation after the event.
The agenda builder can be found here: CA World '14 Agenda Builder
Thank you LennThompson I am registered for the event and I created a login, I am trying to reset my password and I haven't received an email as of yet, maybe it takes a bit.
Who do I speak to if I don't receive my reset password email?
hocka02 and Ann_Kelly -- can you help point Tammi in the right direction?
Any help I can get would be great, I am still waiting for an email with the reset password or I will not be able to build my agenda. It is the same login I used to register and the same login and password I use for the communities site.
Hi Tammi. Apologies for the delay, I was away yesterday and just getting through this thread. I've sent your request on. Be on the look-out for a confirmation, and if you don't receive one, ping me back. Thanks for your patience.
Thank you, I haven't received anything as of yet. I checked my junk mail folder as well. My login name is firstname.lastname@example.org
