  • 1.  Websessionct KPI in CA SDM 12.9 is not working

    Hi

I have configured websessionct KPI in 12.6 version to pull out the data on number of sessions from all the webengines and that worked very well, after upgrade to 12.9  the same KPI is not pulling the data.It shows a count of '0'. The new licensing 12.9 KPIs are working but I have problem with this KPI, even the debugging log did not reveal any clues.

In 12.9 documentation it was mentioned this KPI shows the number of  websessions opened at the time of KPI execution, but that is not  happening. If anybody have configured this KPI Please respond.

    Thanks,

    Lova Raju

There was a posting where a similar item was being discussed. Average Analyst License Usage?

Basically the KPI you mentioned is not being used in 12.9.   You'd have to use the other KPIs as listed in:  https://support.ca.com/irj/portal/kbproblem?docid=594908&productcd=USRD&problemnbr=2566&intcmp=searchresultclick&resultnum=2#properties

    Hi Raghu,

    Thanks for your reply,

I can use WebConcurrentTotalLicenseCt and WebConcurrentTotalNonLicensect KPIs to get the total number users accessing sdm. But I would like to get the number of total webengine sessions.

And also Could you please confirm the below

If a licensed user log in to sdm from two browsers(either on same computer or on different computers) then license count is 2 and web engine session count is 2.

If a licensed user log in to sdm primary  and secondary servers(one session fom each) at the same time then license count is 1 and web engine session count is 2.

    Thanks,

When a licensed user is logged in , the license count would be incremented for that session.

The only reason why I could think of where, a user logging into Primary shows up as license count =1   where as on a secondary server it doesnt  is when the secondary server accepted that user as a non licensed user.   (maybe a default non licensed role, employee for example?)
