I think you'll have to step through 9.1 and then go to 9.2. I didn't know

64-bit was a requirement from the software perspective, but without 64-bit

you won't be able to get up to the recommended memory capacity for 9.2.

You could build a new 2008x64 server, install 9.0.118, migrate everything

over from the old server to the new server, then go through the upgrades to

    get to the current version.

    Hi Stuart,

    Thanks for the reply.

But the problem here is that 9.0.118 only supports windows 2003.

My query is that if I upgrade my 9.0.118 to 9.0.161(9.0 Sp1).. which support 2008 64 bit.

Will I be able to reload the Harvester/RA database to my new machines(As they would be having different I.P.'s/hostname/mac address)

You can upgrade from 9.0.118 to 9.0.161 and there will be no problem.

As far as IP Address changes follow the doc below:

    http://www.ca.com/us/support/ca-support-online/product-content/knowledgebase-articles/TEC562027.aspx?intcmp=searchresult…

The key however if you are switching servers is to make sure you install everything to the same drive and path.

    Hello,

NFA 9.2.0 and 9.2.1 both require you to be on Windows 2008 R2.

So you would need to first migrate to Windows 2008 R2 servers and then you can follow the upgrade both laid out in the Tech Tip doc below:

    https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231150606

As you can see in the document above there is no direct upgrade from 9.0.118 to 9.2.

Being that you are still on RA 9.0.118, you would first need to upgrade to 9.0.161, which supports Windows 2003.

The 9.0.161 upgrade guide is available below:
    ftp://ftp.ca.com/pub/netqos/products/RA/9.0/sp1/RA_9_Upgrade_Instructions.pdf

Then you can upgrade from 9.0.161 to 9.1.4 which also still supports Windows 2003.

9.1.4 includes many of the key bug fixes that were introduced in 9.2.1, but doesn't have all of the new features like ASA support or NBAR2 monitoring.  However this is a good place to upgrade to until you can migrate to new Windows 2008 R2 servers.

Keep in mind 9.0 went end of life 10/31/2014.
