  • 1.  SD not share load of users login b/w 2 Webengines

    Posted May 21, 2015 02:55 AM

    Hello SD Experts,

I have created another webengine because users were login more than 500 at a time, after creating another webengine i found that all users are login on the same webengine, Servicedesk didnot share the load of users between 2 webengines and our service desk performance gets much slow . only One webengine has full load of users and another one is free. What can i do to share equally load of users on the webengine?

    Thanks

    Hi Laqa,

Please note that just creating a new webengine on ServiceDesk does not mean or equate to automatic load balancing. You still have to do additional configuration steps to create\deploy web-director (responsible for load balancing) before any load balancing can come into effect on the system.

    Have you configured this?

The following tech docs might help:

    i. TEC480203 - What is a web director and how does it work?

ii. TEC480204 - What is the "Willingness" value in the web.cfg file used for?

You might also want to consult the "$NX_ROOT\samples\pdmconf\pdm_edit_usage_notes.html" for more information and documentation on how to configure the Web Director.

    Kind Regards,

    Brian

Please refer to the documentation mentioned on my previous response.

See also a duplicate forum post you created how to configure Web Director in 12.6 SD

There are a few other tech docs suggested there...
