Any body facing issue in NPC url generate ... When ever I generate any url it show not data found Although I can open same reprot in Netvoyant.

    Every time url genearte in NPC any device as not data found. Although I can open same device report in NV.

    Do you see data when you preview the URL from the URL generation dialog box?

    Ok, since the preview works, I'd like to see the code your actually embedding and get some info about the nature of the webserver hosting the embedded view. With the preview working, it seems like the generate URL code works.  Also, what browser?

    Zeeshan,

     

    'preivew' is done when clicking the 'View Preview' button at the bottom.

    Is that the same preview that works for you?

    Here is an image showing the 'View Preview' button.

    Here is an example of how it should look.

     

    Note this is probably a duplicate of this other thread.

    Preview URL from NPC throws No data found error.

    OK after some testing it seems this is a defect in that it works for top level views but fails to show NV data for views reached via a drill down.

     

    the work around is to manually edit the URL before sending it to the end user.

     

    Get the URL from the report page showing the view you want to generate the URL for.

    /localhost/npc/Default.aspx?pg=i&InterfaceID=282107

     

    Generate the view for the View.

    This shows the section of the URL to be changed.

    .../npc/View.aspx?Integration=1&TimeSpan=...

     

    Insert the interface ID section like this:

    .../npc/View.aspx?Integration=1&InterfaceID=282107&TimeSpan=...

     

    Provide that modified URL to your end user. At least this will work for now until the defect is corrected.

    its only with InterfaceID ? cann i not use a iFname to query the graph of the interface ? for example from Spectrum interfaces.

    Zak4,

     

    Engineering decided to stop work on NPC at 6.2 so this defect will not be addresses.

     

    I posted the workaround as a Tech Tip.
