The Compliance Manager WebUI display of the list of z/OS Configuration Changes only displays that a change has happened but doesn't have a column of what the change is. It makes it very difficult or almost impossible to find a particular change you are looking for. You can filter changes down to around the time the change happened but you could have hundreds of changes within a few minutes of the time if an IPL was done. You have to list each one to find what the change was for that event. The type of change needs to be included on this list of changes.

None of the displays in Compliance Manager WEB GUI are useful.  Most places I know that have Compliance Manager, have abandoned the Native UI as much as possible, and coded their own SQL to get at the data compliance manager records to represent it correctly.

I have been using the compliance manager product since version 1, and the uselessness of the Web GUI has been customers number 1 complaint since day one.  CA has done nothing since version 1 to address this.  Incorporating Compliance manager GUI into the Chorus framework was supposed to help things according to CA marketing.  In reality, all it did was make it harder to install Compliance Manager (which was already too hard to install), and the old Web UI code was ported over to the Chorus framework unchanged. There were no real enhancements could be seen by the customer from that move.  Now CA is abandoning their Chorus strategy which puts the future of this product up in the air.  While CA struggles to figure out what they are doing with the product they have no problem selling it to customers still claiming it does more than it really does.

Maybe, just maybe, one day CA will take the feedback from their customers seriously, and try to make the Web GUI for Compliance Manager something that actually adds value to the customer, instead of it being a source of endless frustration as it currently is.

    Bill,

Please submit your enhancement requests through Ideation (https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231151636) so the community can see it and vote on it. The more votes the greater the chance it will be added to the product. If you have multiple ideas, please submit one for each.

Please let us know if there are any questions.

    Regards,
