I'm using the OSIM (Client Automation12.8) to deploy Windows 2008 R2 images in HP PHYSICAL servers.

Osim and dhcp server are working well ... the process is being performed successfully, but during the deployment of windows 2008 image I am getting an error that this:

"The product key entered does not match any of the Windows images available for installation. Enter a different product key "!

Looking at the OSIM manual  I saw that it is possible to inform the Windows Product Key from the command line at the time of creation of  image (createOSImage –i myxpsp2 –o WXPP –k <product key> -s d:\i386) ,

but I did not found how it is possible to inform the Windows Product Key at DSM ..

    My question is:

It is possible to inform the Windows Product Key through  DSM,? Are there any files, in OSIM, that is possible  I can do the update?

In the DSM Explorer you can enter the key against the OS Image (as long as it’s not been deployed) or at the time of deployment against the Computer. You can also edit the default settings and reimport, consult the OSIM Green Book for further details.

    Hi

Can you please add a screen shot of the OS image parameters in your GUI?

Is your 2008 Media a Volume license edition?

    regards

    Rich

    Hi  Richard

The screen shot of the OS Image parameters is attached !

Yes, the Customer use VLE and the Customer has server license in network to activated the licenses.

    Richard,

Yesterday I did another test with windows 2012 r2:

First I installed Windows 2012 by DVD ( Normal process, to validate the license key ) and in the finish I active the windows license key with sucess... after I created an image of Windows 2012 through the OSIM, and image parameters  ProductId appers. I did deploy this image using the OSIM and received the  same message when I used  Windows 2008, BUT, with the WINDOWS 2012 in file canpc.dat appears the parameter ProductId this with the correct license and the message that appears on msdos is another, please see the second file attached.hw2k8r2e-OSIMAGE PARAMETERS.png

    Hi

I suspect the media you are using the create the image is not volume license media and thus windows setup is expecting a product ID. If you were using volume license media then setup should not prompt for this.

I have just published Deploying non Volume License versions of Windows 7 or 2008 via OSIM.pdf into the community documents. This tells you how to modify an OS image to include the product ID field.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Rich
