We have configured Windows "mountpoints" for the ReaperArchive and ReaperArchive15 folders:
- In VMware, created 2 additional virtual disks
- Stopped CA services on the Harvester
- Renamed ReaperArchive and ReaperArchive15 folders to ReaperArchive-sav and ReaperArchive15-sav
- Created empty ReaperArchive and ReaperArchive15 folders
- Using DiskManager, formatted the 2 new disks and assigned them as mountpoints on ReaperArchive and ReaperArchive15
- Copied all files from ReaperArchive-sav to ReaperArchive and copied all files from ReaperArchive15-sav to ReaperArchive15
- Restarted CA services
- After some time and validation, deleted the ReaperArchive-sav and ReaperArchive15-sav folders
Although we still have performance issues with the harvester (reported elsewhere in this forum), it appears to be functioning the same as it was before this modification.
The rationale for relocating those 2 directories was that the amount of file entries was huge - ReaperArchive had 216000 files totaling 200gb, and ReaperArchive15 had 587000 files totaling 33gb.
