  • 1.  Delete Gateway Published API From Portal

    Hello,

The Portal documentation states you can delete a Portal published API directly from the Portal.  However, it does not walk through the steps to delete a Gateway published API.  Can someone please supply the recommended steps for removing Gateway published APIs.  Most, if not all, of my APIs will be published this way.  I will seldom create APIs on the Portal directly and therefore will not be able to delete them through conventional Portal means.

I know that I can delete an API from the Gateway directly, but I've seen situations where "cruft" is left behind.  I'm assuming that there are a set of steps necessary to properly delete an API that was published from the Gateway and enabled on the Portal.

    Thanks!

Hello, Alejandro. The proper way to remove APIs from the portal, regardless of whether they've been added from the portal or the gateway, is to start on the portal per this documentation Remove APIs - CA API Developer Portal - 3.1 - CA Technologies Documentation. This should leave less "cruft" as you say, but it may leave some (for history, or other reasons). The usual cruft can be cleaned up per this thread: Portal Cruft.
