We are using LIAS 7.1 along with QC. When we execute test from VAPI test in QC, we are getting below errors. Please check the attachment. Any help is appreciated.
Have you tried to reinstall the QC plugin? Make sure when you install it, that you do so by right clicking on the install file and running it as an Administrator.
Yes. we tried reinstalling QC, but it didn't work. We have installed the plugins using Run as Administrator. Could you please share detailed steps on integrating QC with LISA. I have seen the PPT which was shared couple of days ago. But we need step by step guide. LISA help manual couldn't help us a lot.
Also, we are using 64bit LISA 7.1 on 64bit Windows 7 OS
Running 64-bit version of LISA does not work with QC / ALM plug-in. We had the same problem even with LISA 7.5.
•The QC Plugin will work on a 64bit machine but it will not work in a 64bit browser or with a 64bit JVM or 64 bit Lisa. The process needs to run in 32bit mode.
Good points Jim. Here are a few other things to consider as well once the 32-bit LISA WS is installed.
Note: Many versions of HPQC are not certified on IE9 or IE10 browsers
Following are some additional configuration steps that might enable IE9 and higher browsers to operate with the LISA HPQC Plug-in:
There are approximately 35-40 components that are registered when the HPQC Add-Ons (not CA LISA) are installed. LISA Uses these components.
The following steps might be used to ensure that the HPQC components have been installed on the workstation and are available for use by LISA.
1. From the Windows Start menu item, type Regedit.exe and hit ENTER
2. Scroll to the top of the display and CLICK on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (left hand pane)
3. Scroll down in the list and look for classes that begin with Mercury.... There should be approximately 35-40 classes that begin with the word Mercury.
If you don’t see these, install the HPQC Add-On (See Below).
If you only see a single entry such as: MercuryLisaBridge.MercuryTestRunner, chances are the HPQC Add-Ons haven't been installed on the workstation.
To install HPQC Add-Ons (not CA LISA -- these steps are completely independent of the LISA QC add-on installation),
When I execute the script from HP ALM, I am getting below error
Run-time Error : Object Required
Test <LISA Sample> is completed.
I am not sure the root cause of this error. When I checked the classed starts "Mercury...." under "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", I could find more than 40 classes starting with "Mercury...". But i could not find the class for LISA - "MercuryLisaBridge.MercuryTestRunner". Does that mean LISA QC plugin is not installed? If not installed, can you please confirm how do i install? If it is installed, how do i make sure?
I would really appreciate if you could help me.
Hi Nikhil, double check that you installed the LISA QC Plugin. The plug installer in is located in an addons directory under LISA_HOME.
once that is confirmed, double check the attachments on your test case and ensure they are pointing to the necessary files (config, test case, etc.)
the he installer provides a sample VAPI script using either VB or Java. This script goes into QC.
also, make sure you are running a compatible version of HPQC. For example v12 is unsupported on older versions of LISA.
