  • 1.  SRM 10.0 CABI issue

    I am standing up a brand new installation of Spectrum 10.0 and have installed OneClick with Report Manager and CABI on the same, very beefy Win2k8R2 server. I was able to get beyond the integration errors by removing the BIAR files and rerunning the integration and placing the files back afterwards.

     

    After creating the BO_INST_PATH variable However I ran the SpectrumUpdate.bat script it fails with a HTTP 401 error.  Exact Error :

    Exception in thread "main" java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL: http://spectrumrm:80/repmgr/admin/SpectrumUtil.war

    at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(HttpURLConnection.java:1459)......

    Failed to download a WKP update. Exiting...

     

    The username and password is for the account that I installed Spectrum with and is the owner of all files in the %SPECROOT% path. So I am not sure how it can be a 401 error.

     

    Just to validate my process I took another server with same OS and installed CABI and Spectrum Oneclick with Report Manager again and had the same integration issues, moved BIAR files, continued and get the exact same error on the SpectrumUpdate.bat script.

     

    Any assistance or guidance on this will be greatly appreciated

    Would you please clarify what steps are you doing to move the BIAR file and what integration issue did you face?

     

    1. Install the CA Business Intelligence (CABI)/BOXI 4.1 SP3

     

    2. Then verify the CABI installation - Verify the CABI Installation - CA Spectrum - 10.0 - CA Technologies Documentation

     

    3. Run the Post Installation of CABI - Post Installation Configuration for CABI - CA Spectrum - 10.0 - CA Technologies Documentation

    4. Enable the Business Object Integration - Business Objects Integration - CA Spectrum - 10.0 - CA Technologies Documentation

     

    Read the following community thread if you face this message error:

    Also take a look at this Tech Tip:

    Tech Tip: Spectrum Report Manager on 10.0 fails with 'Failed to open connection' or 'No Records Found'

     

     

    If you need to rerun the Post Installation, disable the Business Object Integration first. Then enable it back.

     

    If you have LDAP or SSO (Single Sign-On such as EEM or SiteMinder) enabled in OC web server, please try disabling it before Deploying the Spectrum Content.
