    Can anyone please guide me the best way to export application & shared component from existing CA Release Automation 5.5 to a new CA RA 5.5 setup.

    Hi,

     

         The best way to do this is by using the export / import function within the ROC, the export will contain the application details including the ROC information, shared components can be exported in the same way.

    Hi Keith,

     

    But when I do the import application to the new ROC only the version of Shared components used by the application is getting copied.

    If I copy shared components first and then do the import of application then duplicate shared component is getting created.

    Hi,

     

      Your correct this is the way that the product currently works, an idea was raised in November to change this behavior. If you havent already voted for this idea i would recommend that you add your name to the list of customers requesting this functionality.

     

    Enhancements desired on the export/import process for objects.
