    Is there a python monitoring capable agent for APM 10.1 in planning or already available ?


    If not officially, Is it atleast possible to use an EPagent (Environment Performance agent) that
    can be used to gather data from log files etc.,?

    Do you have any information if APM for Python on Bytecode Level would become available?

    Hi,

     

    currently there is no Python Agent available for any of the supported CA APM versions.

    An EPAgent can definitely be used to retrieve data from accessible sources (like log files), but I'm not aware of any pre-configured EPAgents specialized on Python.

    I would urge you to create an idea here in the community and describe the needs and expectations of such an agent.

     

    It might not be the answer you were hoping for, but I still hope this information helps.

    Hi Valorallu,

     

    regarding the log reader: there are several EPA log reader extensions on the community, e.g. AIX NMON LogReader and logreader_package.zip. Hiko_Davis just posted ca-apm-fieldpack-epa-aix containing the AIX NMON LogReader on CA APM GitHub.

     

    You can tweak that to read your python log files and we'd appreciate if you share it back to the APM Community.
