    Hi:

Are these databases that can be used as the APM database (Postgres/Oracle) or databases APM can monitor?

    Thanks Hal German

    Hi Sergio,

Thanks for sharing the compatibility guide. I could see only SQL and Oracle DB supported by CA APM in Compatibility guide. Shall I understand it can not

monitor any other DB like (IBM DB2, MongoDB, Cassandra, derby, Sybase, hbase etc). I need confirmation on the databases I have listed here. Please help.

    Hello,

    - We only support the databases mentioned in the CG, as for the rest you would need to contact CA or professional services as they can help you implement/build the appropiate pbds/pbls / customization.

    - APM Integrations for CA Insight Database is already EOL, from the EOL announcement SAP NetWeaver Portal I read

    >>"CA Technologies recommends CA Nimsoft Snap, a free-of-charge product containing similar functionality, for customers who require database performance monitoring."

    - Another option would be to use CA Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM), I see it has probes for the majority of the dbs you are interested, see UIM_Probes.xlsx

I heard that there is an integration for APM and UIM, if needed I can help you investigate further, however, I suggest you to discuss your requirements and different options with your CA Account Manager.

    I hope this helps,

    Regards,

    Sergio
