Can some provide samples of skills hierarchies?

They would usually be very organisational-specific - i.e. what sort of skills do you have in your organisation?

Setting up a skills hierarchy can sound simple, but can actually get quite complex. Not only do you need to think of the best way to organize skills, you need to think of the process to update, maintain, and deprecate skills. Also, how do you define skill proficiency? Are there any union implications if your organization is unionized? How often do you need to update?
