Hi,

When an Endevor user needs to specify an element in the "Display Element/Component Lists"  panel (Panel Id: C1SD1000 or option n;1;1), the cursor moves from left to right then top to bottom. Since the 'List options' are sometimes changed but the "From Location" fields are nearly always changed, it seems to me that it would be more efficient if the cursor would tab vertically down the "From Location" fields first before going down the "List Options" fields. So my suggestion is for a change to the tabbing sequence used on this panel and any other panels where this is relevant.

You actually moved this thread into the Water Cooler, which is a non-product specific space. I'm going to move this thread back to CA Mainframe DevOps, but what Susie was asking you to do is create a new idea within the Endevor community so your idea for the product can be tracked.

To create an idea, head to the Endevor community, click on actions, and select "Idea" and from there you can just copy and paste the text from this discussion into that idea. A how-to doc on ideation can be found here: Ideas.

Does your emulator allow you to change the mapping of your keys?  Old habits die hard, I always remap my keys to emulate the old 3270 dumb terminal keyboard: I remap the enter key to new line and remap CTRL to enter, Page Up is PA!, page down is PA2, etc.  If you use the new line key vs the tab key you can "tab" thru the inventory lines then use the real tab key to tab over to the other fields.  I think the tab behavior is indicitive to ISPF,  I noticed every native ISPF panel works the same way, TAB takes you to the first modifiable field and then moves left to right top to bottom.
