Hi, Is there any way to septup failover mechanism for UMP in CA UIM. I can see HA probe is available for hubs not for UMP. Can some one help me on this.

    Currently there is nothing documented.

I do know some clients will bring down the primary UIM server and ump and then install a secondary UMP that points to the HA hub. This UMP stays down and is activated manually when HA happens and it will be an extended period of time.

    Hope this helps.

We do not currently have any probes or other built-in method to handle the failover of UMP.

I've seen this discussed in the communities before and someone even made a script here - https://communities.ca.com/thread/241724130

That might be something worth checking out - looks like it's had some positive feedback.

I do want to mention that you would need to involve CA Professional Services for help with the implementation or troubleshooting a break/fix scenario as this is custom code.

Another thing to take a look at is how to configure multiple UMP servers - https://docops.ca.com/ca-unified-infrastructure-management/8-4/en/installing-ca-uim/install-unified-management-portal-ump/configure-multiple-ump-servers

    Hope that helps!

Please note that we do not have any probe/scripts to handle the failover of UMP and no automated UMP failover. However we have an option of LUA script to make it work. Please go through the below community link.
    https://communities.ca.com/thread/241724130

Also, please understand that we do not support LUA script to make it work and you need to contact CA account team to involve CA services team for further assistance, so that they might help you further.
