Patch download error

  • 1.  Patch download error

    Hi,

     

    I have installed the upgraded to CA IT Client Manager 14.0 along with CA Patch Manager 14.0.

    I am able to accept the patches but it is getting at packaging state. Below are the logs:

    I am able to download the patches using the same link from IE.

    Even the patch manager is not creating downloads folder.

    The user is having admin rights as well.

     

    Need help urgently.

    Your IE is most likely configured to use a proxy server. Have you setup the proxy details in PM?

     

     

     

    When you have made the changes you need to stop/start tomcat I.E “CAF STOP TOMCAT”

    Hi Steve,

    Yes, we are using proxy server fir IE.

    Which proxy needs to be entered in Proxy settings in PM ? Will it be proxy server address and what will be the port number?

    Mohd,

     

    Your network administrator will have to give you the proxy name and port number.

    Hi Steve,

     

    I have configured the proxy settings. It creates the download folder with a vb script "versionInfo" but packaging is failing again with below error:

    You need to configure proxy settings for ftp.  You now have http working but not ftp

    Have you updated the proxy settings in the administration tab?

    I have updated the same in the admin tab. After updating, it is giving me error as below:

    That is definitely a proxy error. Have your proxy administration check the logs on the proxy server and have them help you with the proxy settings.

    Go to the administration tab and populate your download proxy settings those are not kept during upgradr

    Hi Richard,

     

    I am still having the issue with third party software. Am able to download from microsoft as well as content published from CA.

    Error is same as earlier:  Peer not authenticated.

    Hi folks
    Quite old thread... but I have the same issue - most MS patches and Java was downloaded, but Chrome, Firefox, Flash... not,  with error "Peer not authenticated" 

     

    Proxy settings arledy done (I have one proxy address) and with using this proxy I can download files without problem via IE or FF.

     

    Can someone share what helped ?

    There is an issue we discovered recently.  Ftp is used to download the install file the content team creates.  If you are using the proxy for ftp patch manager is not following the proxy configuration set for ftp

     

    I suggest you open an issue so you can get the fix once it is created.
