    Good Afternoon All,

I am new to nimsoft and I am currently working on a lab setup.  My cdm probe is not working I am recieving a runtime error of 91.  Any ideas on how to correct this issue.  It will not let me modify any of the configuration setting in the cdm probe.  I have a screen shot of the error attached.  Thank you for your help.

When does the error happen? Right when you open the GUI? Try to hold down **bleep** and double-click on the probe to fetch the GUI again because it looks like a GUI issue.

The error occurs when I click apply.  After I make the changes and click apply that is when the error happens.  Any thoughts?

I am facing the same error.

Just to add some info if that may help, my robot OS is Solaris and cdm version 5.72.

It's possible that the cdm.cfg file is corrupted.  Try the following to resolve this:

    1) On the windows system where you are opening the cdm Configure GUI, go to a cmd prompt window and type:

    cd %temp%

    2) Press enter, look for the util folder, and open this.

    3) Look for all the exe's related to cdm probe and delete all of these exe's

    4) Now de-activate your probe, then delete it.

    5) Delete the cdm probe directory and its contents on the robot where it is installed and do a fresh install of the probe (latest version)

    6) Try configuring the probe again

I am hopeful this will not affect anything on that machine as well as cdm of all servers residing in that hub server.

    Thanks,

    Hi Kathryn,

Looks like this did not work. The error message still popped up on making any change in configuraion.

    Regards,

@Kathryn Maquire. I had the same issue, cdm probe running on a Linux host. Fixed by copying in a valid cdm.cfg file from an identical host at the Linux commandline. Thanks Kathryn for putting me on the right track. Cheers, Alex.

I'd suggest downgrading CDM to version 4.73 - the last good stable version in my opinion. You used to be able to get the old versions at the links refrenced in Linklist of old UIM-Probes?  but that seems to be a dead link now.
