  • 1.  Clarity Filestore not opening document

    We have setup a new environment for clarity 14.2 and in that while creating any document in collaboration folder its creating the file in a new folder like ppm/filestore/clarity/Files5118429 Instead of just under ppm/filestore/clarity/Files folder. Here ppm is folder I have created outside the installation folder.

    So when I am trying to download/open created file its giving DMS02104 error saying system cannot retrieve the requested document form DMS.If I manually copy the file from Filesxxxxxx to Files folder I can open the document from collaboration.

    So may I know whats wrong here and why its not just creating files under Files folder instead of Filesxxxxx  folder.

    Hi,

     

    What is the path under the "Filestore Directory" field, under the "Document and Search" tab of your CSA?

    path in CSA is /ppm/filestore and /ppm/searchindex.

    Ok. So, if you want to change the path to something else, then I think you should be using, "<driveAndPreviousFolders>/ppm/filestore" (i.e., the fully qualified path (assuming its Windows) ).

    And once you upload a file that is non empty, the App will create "clarity/Files/<3NumbersFromLeft - the millionth number>/00<millionthNumber>/<Yourfile>, in front of it.
