  • 1.  Can Flow Cloner Collect on a given port and cloned to a different port.

I see in the documentation that you can define alternate ports to for the destination.  I have activated the cloner and I can see the packets going to the destination ip but not on the destination port defined in the /dest port = 2055.  Can this be done while preserving the collection on the CA standard 9995 UDP port.  I see all the packets (via Wireshark) redirecting to the correct destination but the destination port is still 9995.  Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciation.

    Hello Kevin,

As per the latest guide it states that the harvester listening port must match the destination port in the flow cloner:

"Note: If you specify a custom /port value, it must match the harvester listening port and the destination port that you used to configure the flow. The port values must match or no flow data is cloned."

    Thank you!

Although - I don't understand why it would give the option to set a destination port if it will always default back to the same port as the collection.  Are there plans to make this work with two different ports?

I agree, it did work at one point in RA 9.0, but after they reintroduced the tool in NFA 9.1.3 it no longer worked on a different port then the Harvester listening port.  We have requested this, but to my knowledge it is not currently in the works.

I would recommend opening an Idea here on the communities to request it formally as an Enhancement Request where it will be visible to Product Management.

I see you created the Idea here FlowCloner - Redirect Netflow on another UDP Port

    Up voted it last night.
