    Has anybody got (in v12)
XOG-3360: Custom attribute record has not been inserted?
If so how do the object properties, attributes and views look in admin tool?
Is there a table for that object?

Is there a cure once you've got it?

    Hi Martti,

We have not received this error (yet). What kind of DB table are you looking for? If you are looking at the views, then try ODF_VIEWS for attributes try ODF_CUSTOM_ATTRIBUTES etc. If you already know this, then my apologies; maybe I did not understand your question.

    Thanks

    Hello Dev,

Thank you for your response. There is nothing relevant in those tables related my troubled objects
I was looking at odf_objects . Nothing relevant either.

On all pages of the object the error is Object not found.
    No attributes
    No views
    No links
    No ODF_CA_ ... table

Simply no record that that table ever existed.

I wish it wer yester day again and I could look at the db where all over exactly that object had its data.

The other thing is how to get back to that.
I can't XOG in the object because I get that error - Custom attribute record has not been inserted
I can't XOG in anything, I can't delete the object because the system claims it does not exist.

    Document ID: TEC440082
    Tech Document
    Title: 100373 - XOG-3360

does not offer any help if I have already done that.

    Whoa! :O

That is really strange! So you created this object and the application seems to have an entry but no DB tables, no links.. That is really strange. Do your logs say anything on the DB disconnects or any relevant error? Even a complete service restart hasn't helped?

Have you tried activating a SQL trace while you access the object pages?

Don't have access to put trace on and did not look at the log. Hopefully, the error is still there.
In the mean time a guy who's been round the mill flushed the caches and the errors on those partial objects disappeared.
Now they can be XOGed in properly.

According to a KB article the error relates to virtual fields. In this case the xml file xoging in the object had virtual fields.
This being a custom object all field were custom. So I just got to learn to read error messages.

Thanks for your thoughts and effort.

Thanks for sharing the information, Martti. Its a useful piece to keep at hand. -_-

So to summarize, if we have to XOG a custom object with virtual fields, its best to comment them in XML and create them manually later.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

we received this error message and described the approach that worked for us:

    Troubles while xogging project object

Basically, we had virtual attributes, too, though before that we had attributes in place that had been deactivated.

Once we corrected the real issue with inactive attributes, virtual attributes didn't cause any troubles when xog-ging in.

    Kind regards,

    Sebastian
