  • 1.  Time Scaled Value view with custom Object or field

My question is around showing a timescaled view for a subobject to a project.

My subobject shows 12 metrics provided 1 per month for 12 months after the project goes live. This is a subobject to the project object.
The quickest and easiest way to get this subobject view is to have 12 Metric dates (date field where you enter in the date you provided the metric) and the metric value for that date.

I would like to show this metric value in a time scaled view on the objects list (similar to the ootb assignments time scale for tasks).

When I go to make this virutal field I do not get the option for a Time Scale field. My only options are: Gantt, Image and Progress Bar. When you go to make a vitual field in Assignments you have the option for time scaled.

So, I believe this is because I do not have any fields associated with a time slice? Not sure on this.
So, I tried to create a new time slice with my metric value field from this object and it is not an option to create a timeslice for.

How does one create a time scaled value view with custom fields/ objects?

You need to create a timevarying attribute to store the data.

Because links were not all fixed when CA moved the communities to the Jive platform.

If you search for that "id" though, I think it was trying to reference this old-thread ; Copying blob fields
