  • 1.  Does the new VNA allow graphical monitoring without a seperate CA product?

    Hi everyone,

I'm interested in using VNA for monitoring an SDN fabric.

Is it possible to install VNA, collect from the SDN fabric (such as ACI) and then connect directly to the VNA server to monitor the SDN solution? I've read that there is Spectrum and Performance Manager integration, but I'm not interested in installing Performance Manager specifically for health monitoring of this fabric.

    Thanks

Not sure VNA has anything like a GUI to directly connect and monitor the SDN solution independently.

VNA server is only a software gateway or intermediary between the SDN/NFV environment and CA’s
IM tools (Spectrum and Performance Management). The VNA system uses a series of plugins (one for
each technology type) to communicate with the SDN/NFV infrastructure. Each of the CA IM products
can then subscribe to VNA for inventory / performance metric updates.

    Hi lilah

Lets us talk more about your requirement. I can show you want we can do today with Spectrum+VNA and how CAPM adds more value to it. I will drop you a separate note.
