  • 1.  TFS plugin for CA RA- cert error

    I am trying to use TFS plugin for CA RA. it gives me the following error. How do I fix it?

    ##[error]ERROR! Failure reason : Error: unable to verify the first certificate

    Hi 

    In the log I see that you are using https but didn't specify any port number in the URL

    By default RA using 8443 for https access.

    Did you modify RA https port?

    Thanks Jacky. Yes we are using the port 443. I tried to specify the port in the endpoint but it still gives me the same certificate error.

    are you using the CA-RA Rest API anywhere else? If so, is it working there?

    You can go to Release Automation integration with TFS 2015_V2.0  to find the steps.

    Hi, I see you are using version 1.0.0 of RA TFS plugin. This version is an early version which doesn't support HTTPS calls. the newer version - 1.1 - does support it.

    You can download it and upgrade very easily through CA Release Automation - Visual Studio Marketplace .

    It will solve your issue.

    Thanks Yigal. I had discussed this issue with Vanitha who confirmed that installing 1.1 resolved their issue.
