DX NetOps

By default the system will not let you set the Dynamic update time of a Collection to be less than 60 minutes. Does anyone know of a override workaround that will let us set a global collection to auto update at 5 minutes instead. Its not a real detailed search so it should not create a performance issue.

If you've ever wondered how to change the update interval of the GlobalCollections to a number lower than 1 hour, go into Attribute Editor, search for the GlobalCollection and change the '''dynamicUpdateInterval''' to the number of MINUTES you'd like.

Please be aware that OneClick will show 0 hours!!

As an alternative you could force the update by cli:

$VNMDIR/update action=0x100f6 mh=$COLLECTIONMH

What does it mean, if OC shows 0 hours and the value of dynamicUpdateInterval is also 0?

We noticed this at one of our customer's system and he is getting  "VCENTER PROXY LOST" alarms.

Are they possibly related?
