  • 1.  How to delete a Deployment

    Hi all, new user here!

How can I delete Old deployments?

I wanna delete all the deployments that I generated during my tests.

I have 3 deployments, the first one failed and the other 2 were executed sucessfully, now, when I try to delete them I got the following error:

"You cannot delete a deployment which: is currently active, has started the deployment phase or is dedicated for rollback of another deployment."

No deployment has started the deployment phase (see attachments), but I don't know where I can check if they are active o dedicated for rollback.

    Any help will be apreciate

    Thanks & Regards,

This may be a potential solution.

You can delete these releases from JMX control center,

on JMX, go to server View, then find Domain: releasecenter

    here you will get releasecenter:type=Info

click on this, and look for removeRelease in Parameter tab put the Release number and this should delete the unwatned release.

    Thanks Nikhil

I will check this option to delete them as not supported solution, meanwhile I voted in the idea James told me

    Hi Daniel,

At this time, there is no officially supported method for deleting old deployment data.  While it may be possible to do so via unsupported methods, we advised caution as doing so can threaten system stability.  There are two links that I think you may find of interest on this topic.

First, TEC1189327 explains that you can only delete deployments that have not run yet:

How to remove deployments from ROC?

That said, this is a popular question that we see raised often, and there is currently an idea logged here on the Communities requesting a supported method for deleting old deployments.  I recommended voting up the idea if this is of interest:

    Delete Deployments in ROC

    Thanks James,

I just voted in the idea.

Actually I just wantted delete them from [Releses] - [Deployments]. According to TEC1189327  they will disapper in 10 days, and that's OK for now.

On the other hand, when I go to OverallSystem Status and click on Deployments history I got an error.

Any idea how to solve this?

    Thanks & Regards

There are two possible causes for this issue:

    • There is a problem with the web browser ROC is open in.
    • Abnormally stuck processes are interfering with report.

The most likely cause is a browser cache issue.  This is especially likely if some but not all users are affected.  Perform the following steps to resolve this:

    1. Log out of ROC.
    2. Clear the browser's cache (temporary files).
    3. Log back in to ROC.

If the error persists after clearing the browser cache, then there may be hung deployments or processes interfering with the report.  Processes can hang for a number of reasons, and the following knowledge base article details how to identify and remove stuck processes:
